Management
David Li, Co-Founder, Chief Executive Officer
Prior to TradeVibes, David was the Sr. Director of Product Management at PayPal. During his five plus year tenure, he managed a number of teams, including the Global Risk and Operations team and the Auctions Team, in charge of integrating PayPal into the eBay platform. Prior to PayPal, David held various consulting, marketing, and product roles at AOL, Netscape, eBay, and Kiva, as an independent consultant and a Consultant for Mercer Management Consulting (now Oliver Wyman). He also advised and invested in a number of Internet startups including Edvert and Paybl.
David enjoys traveling, sleeping, and eating. He is the current office restaurant eating contest champion. David holds a MBA from the Graduate School of Business from Stanford and a B.A. with honors in Economics from Stanford University, where he graduated Phi Beta Kappa.
Peter Chu, Co-Founder, Chief Technology Officer
Before TradeVibes, Peter was the Director of Payments at PayPal, as part of the Core Technologies Group. Over his seven year tenure, Peter managed various engineering teams, including the Risk and Merchant Services engineering teams. Prior to PayPal, Peter worked as a developer for Raindrop Geomagic (3D modeling) and the National Center for Supercomputing Applications (NCSA), developing Mosaic, the first internet browser.
Peter enjoys coding and long walks on the beach with his lovely wife Maureen. He is the current office darts champion. Peter holds a B.S. in Computer Science from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, and attended the graduate program at UIUC before joining PayPal.
David Kang, Co-Founder
Before TradeVibes, David was an early developer and a Principal Software Engineer at PayPal. Over his seven year tenure, he was integral in the design of PayPal's backend payment systems, and the development of PayPal's Bank Account Verification, Multi-Currency platform, and Stand-In Payment Processing engine.
David enjoys whole fancy cashews and karaoke. He wishes there is a better Korean restaurant in Mountain View. David studied Computer Engineering at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
Doug Ihde, Co-Founder
Prior to TradeVibes, Doug was an early employee and a Distinguished Architect at PayPal. During his seven year tenure, he was responsible for the development of Business Accounts, Mass Payments, Fees, Multi-Currency and BillPay. Prior to PayPal, Doug was a developer at Sven Technologies (acquired by Spatial Technologies) for four years.
Doug enjoys salt water taffy and playing darts. He is an avid Stanford Cardinal football fan, and was Time Magazine's Person of the Year 2006. Doug holds a B.S. and M.S. in Computer Science from Stanford University.
