Allan Sabol, Co-Founder & CEO
Allan is a seasoned leader within the recruiting industry with particular expertise in sales leadership and development of sales training plans. Before co-founding Dayak, Inc., he served as a key leader in a startup recruiting company, serving as a Division President and Director of Sales. Previously, Allan was employed by the federal government on a product and technology development team for a new federal government recruiting web site and database. Allan also has 10 years of military leadership experience, serving as a commissioned officer in the Marine Corps. As a Marine officer, Allan led organizations with up to 900 employees and gained valuable staff and command experience related to logistics, administration, operations, law, and training. His military career includes combat experience in the Middle East, where he was decorated for his performance during Operation Iraqi Freedom. Allan is a graduate of the United States Naval Academy in Annapolis, Maryland, and he currently resides in Carlsbad, California with his wife and two children.
Sal Cepeda, Co-Founder & COO
Sal brings extensive leadership, training and recruiting experience to his role as Chief Operating Officer. His civilian career has centered on contingency recruiting, where he's worked with a wide range of clients and candidates in many industries. Prior to co-founding Dayak, Inc., Sal served as an Account Executive and Recruiting Manager for two leading recruiting firms where he trained and mentored recruiters and implemented new sales metrics and recruiting strategies. Prior to entering the recruiting industry, Sal served over 20 years in the United States Marine Corps as a commissioned officer leading operational organizations in telecommunications, aviation and missile defense. Additionally, Sal is a decorated veteran of Operation Iraqi Freedom, participating in combat operations during the invasion of Iraq in 2003. Sal holds a BS in Aviation Management from Southern Illinois University and an MA in Human Resources Development from Webster University.
CJ Jouhal, Co-Founder & CEO
CJ is a seasoned technologist with strong leadership and business acumen. With over 10 years experience in Internet technology, CJ brings to Dayak a unique ability to match technology to business needs. CJ specializes in building internet/e-commerce platforms that have scalable architectures with a focus on security.
CJ began his career at Lockheed Martin, being chosen to take part in their leadership program. Next CJ joined Half.com, where he served as a Technical Manager and led the technical effort to integrate the Half.com platform onto the eBay platform. CJ subsequently transitioned to Principal Software Engineer at eBay where he worked on the Search Engineering Team. At the request of eBay's senior management, CJ returned to the Half.com platform as a Technical Lead to stabilize and grow its new platform. At Dayak, CJ brings his experience and judgment to expertly manage all aspects of Technology including Architecture, Development, and IT. CJ is committed to ensuring the Dayak platform maintains the highest levels of scalability and performance for our customers.
CJ holds a BS in Computer Science from the University of Pittsburgh, an MSE in Telecom and Networks from the University of Pennsylvania, and he has also taken continuing education courses in technology management and e-commerce at the Wharton School of Business.
J.D. Ettore, VP Marketing
J.D. brings over 16 years of experience to his role as head of marketing for Dayak. The majority of his career was spent at America Online where he directed Brand Marketing initiatives and partnerships for the AOL flagship brand and her sister companies. He also has extensive experience in strategic planning, sales, strategic partnerships, media and PR. In addition to his role at America Online he held similar positions at CompuServe and Six Flags, Inc. J.D. is a graduate of Mt. St. Mary's University in Emmitsburg, Maryland and he currently resides in Carlsbad, California with his wife and two children.
Pete Borowsky, VP Customer Experience
Pete is a highly seasoned Internet executive with over 12 years of experience in product management and analysis. Prior to joining Dayak, Pete held positions of Principal Product Manager at eBay and Director of Product Management at Half.com. At eBay, Pete was most recently working on machine learning systems to classify millions of listings with the end goal of improving the customer experience of search and discovery on eBay's worldwide platform. As one of the early employees at Half.com, Pete was a member of the senior management team and responsible for all areas of product management including strategy, design, analysis and testing, and product execution. At Dayak, Pete's focus on providing the ultimate customer experience is driven analytically by direct customer outreach and interaction as well as multivariate testing and analysis. Pete is a graduate of Colgate University and lives happily with his wife and three boys.
