Manoj Ranaweera, Co-founder/CEO

Having entered the digital world in 2004 from a Multinational’s background (Parsons Brinckerhoff and Parsons Corporation on roles in engineering, project management, business development, channel development and operational management) with over 3 years in the Middle East, Manoj founded www.edocr.com in April 2007 to build a global brand by bringing social interactivity to business documents (dubbed iTunes for business documents). edocr has recently been recognised as one of the 20 most promising UK digital startups to attend the Webmission08 organised with UK Trade & Investment.

Manoj achieved thought leadership through his blog at www.manojranaweera.com (perhaps the No. 1 English language blog on finance automation through e-invoicing/EIPP technologies), and set-up www.nwstartup20.co.uk to bring together the digital community of the North by providing a monthly environment for entrepreneurs, investors, deal makers and service providers to meet and share experiences in an informal setting.

Today, Manoj offers his expertise through evigon Ltd, a niche management consultancy helping startups to large corporates by providing business advisory services in the areas of financial automation, on-line marketing strategies and rapid development of software products. In addition to managing Northern StartUp 2.0 events, eveo Ltd offers one-stop-shop for event management.

Stuart Scott-Goldstone Scott-Goldstone, Legal Counsel

Stuart is a Partner and Head of the Corporate Commercial Team at Aaron and Partners LLP Solicitors, based in North West of England. Prior to joining Aaron, Stuart was a Partner at Laytons LLP Solicitors in Manchester. Stuart studied at Christ’s College, Cambridge and The College of Law, Chester before training and qualifying as a Solicitor at Laytons, Manchester. He also recently completed an MBA at Manchester Business School around the same time Manoj completed his MBA. Stuart’s specialist areas are corporate finance transactions (including company acquisitions and disposals and venture capital investment) and corporate reorganisations and restructuring. He also advises on share option and incentive schemes and has particular expertise in the technology and support services sectors.
