Mark Zuckerberg, Founder & CEO
Mark Zuckerberg is the CEO of Facebook, which he founded in 2004. Facebook is a social utility that helps people communicate more efficiently with their friends, families and coworkers. Mark is responsible for setting the overall direction and product strategy for the company. He leads the design of Facebook's service and development of its core technology and infrastructure. Mark attended Harvard University and studied computer science before moving the company to Palo Alto, California.
Dustin Moskovitz, Co-founder & VP of Engineering
Dustin Moskovitz is a co-founder of Facebook and a leader in the technical staff, where he oversees the major architecture of the site. He is also currently responsible for the company’s mobile strategy and development. Starting Facebook with founder Mark Zuckerberg from their dorm room, Dustin has been instrumental in the growth and development of the site since its inception. Dustin attended Harvard University as an Economics major for two years before moving to Palo Alto, California to work fulltime at Facebook.
Owen Van Natta, Chief Revenue Officer, VP of Operations
Owen Van Natta is Chief Revenue Officer at Facebook, where he focuses on revenue operations, business development, and strategic partnerships. Prior to Facebook, Owen was Vice President of Worldwide Business and Corporate Development at Amazon.com, where he managed global marketing programs and strategic partnerships. He was part of the founding team of A9.com, the Amazon.com search company, and was responsible for site operations and sponsored-link advertising. Owen holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of California at Santa Cruz.
Matt Kohler, VP Strategy & Business Operations
Matt Cohler is Vice President of Product Management at Facebook, where he oversees the teams responsible for maximizing the value users derive from Facebook and works closely with the company’s Engineering and Product Marketing organizations. Matt was one of Facebook’s first employees. He has helped lead company strategy and organizational growth as Vice President of Strategy and Operations and has been closely involved with Facebook's product direction for over three years. Previously, Matt was Vice President and General Manager at LinkedIn, where he was a member of the founding team. Prior to LinkedIn, Matt was a consultant in McKinsey & Company’s Silicon Valley office and worked in Beijing for AsiaInfo, the Chinese startup that built the infrastructure for the Internet in China. Matt’s writings on the startup economy have been published in Harvard Business Review. He holds a bachelor’s degree with honors and distinction from Yale University where he studied music theory, computer science, and finance.
Chamath Palihapitiya, VP of Marketing & Operations
Chamath Palihapitiya is the Vice President of Product Marketing at Facebook and is responsible for overseeing new monetization and advertising products, all business aspects of Facebook Platform, fbFund, customer operations, corporate communications, marketing, privacy and public policy. Chamath joined Facebook from The Mayfield Fund, a leading venture capital firm in Silicon Valley where he was focused on Consumer Internet, advertising and media investments. Prior to Mayfield, Chamath spent five years with AOL, most recently as the Vice President and General Manager of AIM and ICQ, with complete responsibility and oversight of two of the biggest and most popular brands on the Internet. Chamath began his career as a derivatives trader before leaving finance to work for Internet music pioneers Spinner.com and Winamp. Chamath grew up in Canada and graduated first class honors in electrical engineering from the University of Waterloo.
Gideon Yu, CFO
Gideon Yu is the Chief Financial Officer of Facebook, where he leads finance, accounting, investor relations, real estate and human resource operations. Prior to Facebook, Gideon was the CFO of YouTube, where he negotiated its $1.65 billion sale to Google. Gideon was also the Treasurer and Senior Vice President of Finance for Yahoo and led corporate finance, M&A / business development evaluation, cash management, real estate and treasury operations. Gideon executed over 30 acquisitions or investments for Yahoo, including Alibaba / Taobao, Overture, Inktomi, Flickr, and del.icio.us and over $5 billion of capital markets transactions, including $750 million in zero coupon / zero yield convertible notes -- Yahoo’s first financing since its IPO. Prior to Yahoo, Gideon was the CFO of NightFire Software (acquired by NeuStar, NYSE: NSR) and held positions at Disney, Hilton, and DLJ / CSFB. He holds a master’s degree in business administration from Harvard Business School and a bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering and engineering management from Stanford University.

Jonathan Heiliger, VP of Technical Operations
Jonathan Heiliger is the Vice President of Technical Operations at Facebook where he oversees global technology operations, site architecture and IT. In addition, he leads the development of systems enabling Facebook’s computing infrastructure to scale reliably. Prior to Facebook, Jonathan was an advisor to Sequoia Capital portfolio companies Bubble Motion, Stardoll and YouTube. Previously, he led Web engineering for Walmart.com where he was responsible for infrastructure and systems from the data center floor to the application platform and spent a number of years at Loudcloud (Opsware) as the Chief Operating Officer. Earlier in his career, Jonathan was the CTO of Frontier Global Center (Global Crossing), and later founded the corporate venture capital group.

Marc Andreessen
Marc Andreessen is a Co-Founder of Ning. He is one of the most successful entrepreneurs (called a Silicon Valley "whiz kid" ), startup coach, blogger, investor, and a multi-millionaire software engineer best known as co-author of Mosaic, the first widely-used web browser, and co-founder of Netscape Communications Corporation. He was the chair of Opsware, a software company he founded originally as Loudcloud, when it was acquired by Hewlett-Packard.
Andreessen received his Bachelor's degree in computer science from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
David Sze
David is a General Partner at Greylock and joined the firm in January, 2000. Prior to Greylock, he was Senior Vice President of Product Strategy at Excite and then Excite@Home. As an early employee at Excite, David also held roles as GM of Excite.com and Vice President of Content and Programming for the Excite Network. Before Excite, he was in product marketing and development at Crystal Dynamics and Electronic Arts. He started his career in management consulting for the Boston Consulting Group and Marakon Associates. He received a B.A. from Yale University and an MBA from the Stanford Graduate School of Business.
