Joyent developed an innovative platform that enables teams to effectively communicate and collaborate with email, calendaring, contacts, file sharing, and other shared applications. In November 2005, Joyent acquired TextDrive, an advanced application hosting solutions provider and combined – the company provides unique, on-demand service and hardware solutions for users moving from the old, brittle network of siloed PCs to new, agile networks of server clusters, appliances, and mobile devices, all running Web-delivered applications.
