Board of Directors

Paul Bonderson

At Brocade, where he reports to the company's chairman and CEO, Paul is responsible for driving ongoing technology strategy and market definition initiatives. He has nearly 30 years of experience in the technology industry, spanning hardware and software design, engineering management and product development. Prior to Brocade, Paul held management positions at Intel Corporation, where he managed hardware design and peripheral control development, and Sun Microsystems, where he led I/O subsystems development, product qualification and hardware and systems engineering.

Mark Tolliver

In his last role at Sun, Mark was responsible for product strategy, M&A, communications and branding, market development, ISV relationships, field and industry marketing. Among his many accomplishments, Mark led the creation of a new business relationship with Microsoft, resulting in a landmark litigation settlement. He is the former president and general manager of iPlanet, the Sun/AOL/Netscape joint venture which delivered in excess of $1 billion in revenue over the three year term of the agreement. Before Sun, Mark held executive marketing positions at MasPar Computer and in Hewlett Packard's workstation group where he drove the acquisition of Apollo Computer Corporation.

Jeb Miller

Jeb Miller has a decade of experience working with early stage companies and focuses his investments on innovative opportunities across the mobile and enterprise applications and infrastructure sectors. Jeb currently serves on the Boards for Ad Infuse, Innotas and Pano Logic and is an advisor to ONStor.

Jeb joined ComVentures from Worldview Technology Partners, where he invested in enterprise software and data center infrastructure companies. Prior to Worldview, Miller co-founded Morgan Stanley Technology Ventures, where he focused on investments in the data center infrastructure sector. Jeb's prior investments and Board seats include FineGround Networks (acquired by Cisco), IntruVert Networks (acquired by McAfee), LogLogic and Rhapsody Networks (acquired by Brocade Communications).

Miller was previously Director of Business Development for Scient, an Internet consulting firm, where he launched and managed the firm's corporate venture arm. Prior to Scient, Miller was an investment banker with Morgan Stanley's global technology group in Menlo Park, Boston and New York. Miller graduated summa cum laude from Harvard with a B.A. in Economics.

Michael Rolnick

Michael focuses his investments on networked infrastructure, including communications, computing, storage, security, and wireless. Michael's recent investments and board seats include Active Reasoning; Azul Systems; IntruVert Networks, acquired by Network Associates (NET); Persist Technologies, acquired by HP (HPQ); RLX Technologies and MonoSphere.

Prior to joining ComVentures, Michael served as Vice President for New Ventures at E*TRADE Group, Inc. In that role, he was responsible for merger, acquisition and joint venture activities, new business development, and strategic investments, and was an early investor in Critical Path (CPTH), and Digital Island, acquired by Cable & Wireless (CWP). Prior to E*TRADE, Michael was with Braxton Associates and Montgomery Securities. He holds an MBA from the University of Michigan, an MSc from the London School of Economics, and a BA from the University of Michigan.

Ernest Sampias

Ernie is responsible for McDATA's worldwide finance and investor relations including external reporting, Sarbanes-Oxley controls, manufacturing, quality, information technology, business development, legal, acquisitions and integration, software business processes and international expansion. Before joining McDATA, Ernie held a number of senior executive positions at several innovative business units of US West, and was EVP and CFO of Convergent Communications.

Bruce Thompson

Bruce has been in the storage industry for over 20 years and specializes in technical analysis of SAN/NAS architectures, strategic planning and business assessments. Bruce's wide-ranging areas of experience include disk, tape and storage management software product architectures; application programming; databases and filesystems; device drivers; and new business development. Bruce holds several patents and has published many papers on various storage related subjects.
