I like their games, but will advertising be enough to cover development costs?

Their games are largely single player games with SOME social features added on. |

Is a good product and platform enough to make a company successful? Can they leverage their appeal and turn it into revenue?

There are a number of companies that offer advertising in facebook apps and widgets. If they build great games to attract the eyeballs, I'm sure they can be turned into revenue.
They definitely get eyeballs but the ad is very not intrusive right now. They are really nice games but ultimately I think they are not inherently social, and therefore not leveraging the potential of the social network. Very nice games though, and they just started charging to go "Pro Player" and I'm sure people are paying up to unlock features.
