Rummble Ltd has built a location based social network and content discovery tool, with comprehensive online and mobile platform. It works globally and has been in Closed Beta since September 2007. In early 2008 the service will enter Open Beta. Until the launch of the public Rummble brand in September 2007, Rummble's software platform was developed under the brand playtxt® playtxt.net was one of the very first mobile social networks and was operated as a technology demonstrator and pilot site which formed the backend software for www.Rummble.com. It included location based SMS, a full web service, WAP service and latterly a Java J2ME application.
