Viximo is the latest startup in the virtual goods space. There seems to be lots of positive buzz around virtual goods purchases on social networks like Facebook. With the economy the way it's heading, do you think the virtual goods spending will continue to grow or will it be more of a fad?

Not sure if virtual goods are a fad but virtual interviews have been around and hyped in recent years and now startups are offering standardized virtual recruitment services. One example is Virtual Job Candy: http://www.tradevibes.com/company/profile/virtual-job-candy. Looks like they could use some virtual Aeron chairs for those virtual interview conference rooms!

Lets see. Virtual food vs real food. Virtual toothpaste vs real toothpaste. Virtual world vs real world. I'd say the fans will stay fans and those with extra spending money can still explore but with so many consumers tightening up their spending, virtual goods will take the same hit real goods do if not more.

To Answer Winnyk....I think virtual spending will continue, even as the real economy wanes because the demographic of virtual spending is the "youth" crowd with an insurmountable disposable income choice. That choice is to gain social status among by spending in places like Habbo and Club Penguin
