Dan Latendre
Dan has been a senior-level technology executive for the past 18 years, working at such pioneering organizations as MKS, Delrina, Open Text Corporation and CIGI. For the past 15 years, he has taken an entrepreneurial approach in the development and marketing of leading edge internet-based technologies and applications. In 1993, Dan and his team developed one of the first wireless internet access packages called Internet Anywhere in partnership with Research in Motion (RIM).
In 1995, he joined Open Text Corporation where he held strategic roles at the executive level, from spearheading the release of the first commercial search engine for the web, the Open Text Index, to launching the first web-based intranet application, Livelink®. This award-winning application is today used by thousands of leading corporations for intranet, extranet, portal and online library solutions.
Dan is an executive member of the Canadian International Council, an organization founded to better promote public interest and debate regarding Canadian foreign policy and international relations.
