George Hayter
George A. Hayter has been a director of E Trade Financial Corp. since December 1995 and was Chairman of the Board from 2003 until late 2007. Mr. Hayter has been a partner of George Hayter Associates, a consulting firm, since 1990, providing guidance to emerging stock exchanges. From 1976 to 1990, he served with the London Stock Exchange, with responsibility for information and trading systems. He received a Master of Arts degree in natural sciences from Queens’ College, Cambridge, England. Mr. Hayter is a member of the Nominating and Corporate Governance Committee, Audit Committee and Compensation Committee.
