Rearden Commerce Strengthens Senior Management Team with Appointments of Three New Executives from salesforce.com and eBay
Company Names Kendall Collins – VP, Marketing & GM, B2B; Paul Kilmartin - VP, Network Operations and Heather Brooks - VP, Program Management and Quality Assurance.
Foster City, Calif. – January 9, 2008 -- Rearden Commerce, creator of the first on-demand personal assistant and the first on-demand platform for services, announced today the appointments of three new senior executives to its management team. These three executives, hailing from senior-management positions at salesforce.com and eBay, have deep on-demand and e-commerce experience and will play a critical role in helping build widespread adoption of the Rearden Personal Assistant and the company’s on-demand services platform.

As VP, Marketing and GM, B2B of Rearden Commerce, Kendall Collins will be responsible for managing the company’s marketing strategy and operations, in addition to driving rapid growth of the B2B business. Collins brings to Rearden Commerce more than 12 years of product and corporate marketing experience at leading Internet and software companies. Most recently, Collins was the senior vice president of corporate and product marketing at salesforce.com. As a senior member of salesforce.com’s management team, Collins helped grow the company from 500 to over 2,500 employees in the last four years, launch more than a dozen new product lines, and firmly establish the software-as-a-service market. Collins was a key player in driving the company’s growth beyond SFA into new application markets as well as platform-as-a-service through the AppExchange marketplace, Force.com platform, and Apex programming language.
Prior to salesforce.com, Collins held leadership roles with Siebel Systems, Oracle, and A.T. Kearney. Collins holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Commerce from the University of Virginia.
Paul Kilmartin, Vice President, Network Operations
In his role as VP, Network Operations, Paul Kilmartin is responsible for managing the company’s technology infrastructure and IT operations. Kilmartin’s background includes more than 20 years of experience in information technology management. He joined Rearden Commerce after eight years with eBay, where he managed several different operational teams for both eBay and PayPal, including Systems Administration, Database Administration, Capacity Planning, Data Center Management and Infrastructure Architecture. Kilmartin was named eBay Fellow in 2004, for his leadership in the areas of scalability and availability design and procedure.
Prior to eBay, Kilmartin was co-founder and senior executive with Phaedo Consulting, a systems administration supplementation firm. He has held leadership roles with Landmark Software, the Mitre Corporation, and CCH Washington Service bureau. Kilmartin holds a Masters degree in information systems from George Mason University and a Bachelor’s degree in economics and political science from Virginia Tech.
Heather Brooks, Vice President, Program Management and Quality Assurance
