Michel Gerin, Vice President of Worldwide Marketing, has over 15 years experience in marketing, product marketing, product management, and business development in the software industry. At Backbase he is responsible for worldwide marketing, sales-lead generation, public relations and Web site. Prior to joining Backbase, Michel was Vice President of Marketing for Zend Technologies where he successfully positioned the company as the PHP Company. Prior to Zend, he held senior management positions at Rational Software (Catapulse), and Borland.
Michel was a member of the Java Developer's Journal Editorial Advisory Board for years, and regularly published articles for the Journal's Industry Expert section. He holds a BS in Computer Science and an MBA from Cal State University, San Francisco.
